South Padre Island sits at the southern tip of Texas on the longest barrier island in the world. The island is 35 miles long, with over 25 miles currently undeveloped.
Once you visit the Island, you will never want to leave. There is never a bad time to visit – the average annual temperature is 74 degrees. Summer and spring are the most popular but fall and winter have excellent benefits, too. Coming during non-peak seasons will give you more choices of available rentals, better pricing and less traffic while still having warm weather and the beautiful ocean just waiting for you.
