The Black Dragon Cruise

Legend has it that Lafitte took refuge in this area and dug a well in Laguna Vista. Horses on the Beach
We have horses that are appropriate for all riding levels (very gentle and easy to handle for beginners and more spirited for more advanced riders). In fact, children and first time riders are our specialty - we have horses specially trained to accommodate them.
One thing you should know is that our ride is not a trail ride (we do not ride in a single file) - its much more! Our guides accompany the group and while most people come here expecting to ride single file while following a leader, they are happily surprised to find a ride thats organized for the enjoyment of each individual.

Isla Tours
Captain Murphys is proud to announce Captain Stephen Murphy will be deep sea fishing the summer of 2010. Stephen has over 20 years experience fishing the waters of the gulf of Mexico. He currently holds five state records, including a 122 pound Mako shark and a 214 pound Warsaw Grouper. The Murphys Law is a 69 foot double-decker with bench seating, mens and womens restrooms, and an enclosed cabin area. The upper level allows for spectators to watch without interfering in the fishing. Red Snapper is our specialty! Other catches on deep sea trips includes shark, grouper, amberjack, ling, kingfish, dorado, and more depending on season. Our crew works hard to ensure you and your family or group have a fun-filled and safe day fishing. We provide all the bait, tackle, and rods. Bring your own food and drink, alcohol is also allowed. You will need a valid Texas salt water fishing license. A day fishing license can be purchased the day before your trip. Kids are always welcome aboard and we encourage family groups. Fish cleaning services are available after the trip. The Murphys Law will be fishing half day deep sea trips starting June 1, 2010 till the end of the season.

Diving the Devils Elbow
South Padre diving was born from that adventurous spirit which leads you from your office door to those hot sandy beaches of the Mexican border. Share this excitement with the other divers in the deep blue, unspoiled waters of the Texas Riviera, territory of Spanish Galleons and the pirates of the Spanish Main.
The Devils Elbow is the curve or bight above and below Port Mansfield, Texas. Throughout the centuries, ships of all types have wrecked and sunk along this South Texas coastline from the Spanish Platora fleet to old gun runners and trawl boats. South Padre Island offers a plethora of diving locations including the vertical reefs of the oil platforms, the many wrecks that lay along the Devils Elbow and the delicate deep water reefs.

We also lead trips to meet the wild dolphin study group daily on our research vessel ask about our tour on the waters of the bay. As we are a not-for-profit organization there is a $3.00 per person donation requested to help keep the Nature Center operating.

Sea Turtle, Inc
Sea Turtle, Inc. was formed to aid and assist in the protection of Kemps Ridley Sea Turtle - and to ultimately restore the ridley population to a level that will ensure its survival. Through the years Sea Turtle, Inc. has expanded its scope to actively support the conservation of all marine turtle species. To achieve its goals, they. provide educational programs to schools, tourist bureaus, civic organizations and new media. Sea Turtle Inc is committed to rehabilitating injured sea turtles for their return to the wild. Each day, a volunteer meets visitors at the facility and talks about the different species of sea turtles, their importance to the environment, and what we as individuals can do to pull them back from the edge of extinction.
